Vacation Week!

Good day!

Today marks the beginning of a very special week for one YouTube photographer. This week I am taking the first honest-to-goodness vacation in years. It is not a very grand affair and I won’t be jetting off to some far flung tropical paradise, but that isn’t my kind of thing anyway. What I am doing is joining a good friend for a few days of fly fishing on some productive trout streams in southern Missouri. And I can’t wait. I have made a few trips out of town over the last few years but they have always had some work-related purpose. But not this one! I’ll be gone for almost a week, starting this coming Thursday.

I have decided to cancel this weeks Macro Talk Too, normally at 2pm on Thursday but will be doing my usual Tuesday evening Macro Talk, at 8pm Central Time. We started talking about  focus stacking last week, a part of my Macro Fundamentals series of livestreams. This week I will keep the series going with the next focus stacking discussion in the Fundamentals series. Over the next two weeks we are going to learn all about two of the most popular stacking software programs, Zerene Stacker and Helicon. This week it will be Zerene Stacker. I will tell you everything I know about this important piece of software and walk you through my Zerene workflow. On my return, next week, we will keep the momentum going bylining all about Helicon. That will be it for my week. We have nothing scheduled for the weekend but I hope to have the Laowa video ready to go before I leave. Our competition is also under way and it is a real challenge. The theme is “A Little Halloween” and if you want to see the details on how to enter, pop over to https://www.allanwallsphotography.com/competition

I am going to leave it at that for this week. See you next week when I will show you pictures of all the world record rainbow trout that I will almost certainly be catching, later this week. Hope to see you on Tuesday!
