A new carbon fiber travel tripod from K&F Concept - and it's good!
/K&F Concept invited me to take a look…
… at their latest carbon fiber, ultralight, ultracompact, travel tripod, and they let me have one to play with for about three weeks before it became available. I’ve used it almost every day since then, and I love this little tripod!
It’s little in all the right ways. It folds down to just 13” long. That’s a foot-long and an inch - a Subway sandwich-sized tripod. It weighs literally nothing (I think the batteries in my scale are dead, because I know this thing weighs something). New batteries - it weighs only 2-lbs!
I won’t get into all the details here, for that you should watch the video, a little further down the page. I’ll give you the Cliff Notes here. This tripod is tiny, it weighs next to nothing, but fully extended it’s 5’ tall. And that 60’ of useful tallness. Meaning you can hold a camera on top of it at that height. Most of us would probably use it without the center posts extended, in which case a little crouching will be needed.
I took a lot more pictures of this tripod than I planned!
I have no doubt that someone is going to send me hate mail for removing that little puppy’s front leg. Try to understand that 3-legged puppies don’t grow on trees and videos are important. You have no idea how hard it is to find a peg leg in that size!
Let’s cut to the chase, shall we? The new K&F Concept carbon fiber travel tripod is a great deal, and it is a great tripod. Very well put together, quality materials, and a real looker. It took everything I could throw at it and never let me down.
